Lena Dominguez, TSA Assistant Principal
Lena.Dominguez@cherokeek12.net
Lena Dominguez has spent the past 13 years in education, following eight years in adult education within corporate America prior to becoming a teacher. With her diverse background, she firmly believes there is nothing more rewarding than helping both students and teachers grow. She is currently serving as the TSA at Oak Grove Elementary, working in an Assistant Principal role where she supports instruction, student success, and school culture.
Throughout her career, Lena has had the opportunity to teach a wide range of grades—from 1st through 9th—which has given her a strong understanding of how students learn and develop over time. Before relocating to Georgia three years ago, she lived in Texas, where she served as an Assistant Principal at a dual language elementary school. That experience deepened her commitment to ensuring a strong education for all learners.
Outside of school, Lena stays busy with her children, who keep her on her toes with activities like gymnastics, cheer, karate, and soccer. Whether at home or at work, she embraces a full and active life. Lena loves what she does and feels grateful every day to be part of a profession that shapes the future.
